Google is Going to End Unlimited Free Storage for Photos in 2021

Last week, Google announced the end of free unlimited storage for Google Photos, its online site for storing users' pictures.

Google said that it’s ending this service from June 1, 2021. After that date, all pictures uploaded will count against your free data limit of 15GB. However, all your pics uploaded before June 1, 2021, will still be available under the free unlimited storage option.
This is a serious change from the period when Google Photos was announced in 2015 when Google promised free unlimited photos and video uploads.
This announcement will probably bum the Google Photos users, who may have racked up five years’ worth of pictures under the assumption that the company would let them keep uploading new pictures for free.
The limit will not apply to photos uploaded from its Pixel phones, which still get unlimited high-quality uploads for free, according to Google.
What is more interesting - Google still offers a better deal than the 5GB of free storage you get from Apple, even with the rollback.
